Privacy Policy

In short: Mizu is local-first. Your hydration data stays on your device, unless you explicitly enable Apple Health or Health Connect sync. Premium purchases are processed by Apple, Google, and RevenueCat.

Introduction

Welcome to Mizu! We designed our app with privacy as a priority.

Data we don't collect directly

Mizu does not require an account and does not directly collect:

• Your personal information (name, email, phone)
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Any analytics or tracking data

Local data storage

Your hydration logs, goals, preferences, reminders, history, and settings are stored on your device. Mizu does not send them to a Mizu server, and we do not have access to your hydration history.

Health data (Apple Health / Health Connect)

If you enable health sync, Mizu writes the volume of the drinks you log to Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) as hydration data. This feature is optional and disabled by default.

Mizu writes only the actual volume consumed. Water added in other apps is not imported back into Mizu for now.

This health data stays on your device and in your system health store. Mizu does not transmit it to its servers, sell it, or share it for advertising or marketing. You can revoke access at any time in Apple Health, Health Connect, or Mizu settings.

In-app purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). Mizu uses RevenueCat to verify purchases, restore Premium entitlements, and display available offers.

We never receive your payment card information. RevenueCat may process purchase-related information, such as an anonymous app-generated user identifier, the purchased product, purchase status, transaction receipts, and technical information required to operate the service. Third-party services

Mizu may rely on the following services:

• Apple App Store and Google Play for purchases and refunds
• RevenueCat for Premium entitlement management
• Apple Health and Health Connect only if you enable health sync

Security and your choices

You can delete a drink from the journal, export your whole history to a file, and erase all your data by uninstalling the app or clearing its data in your phone settings. You can also turn health sync off in Mizu and revoke Apple Health or Health Connect permissions from your phone.

This website

meetmizu.com sets no analytics or advertising cookies, and loads nothing from a third-party service: the fonts and images are served by the site itself.
